On the Road to Enhanced
Transparency for NDC Implementation

Learn from technical experts and your colleagues in how to implement climate change adaptation and mitigation priorities under the Paris Agreement

The world leaders committed their contributions to emissions reduction efforts in the latest climate negotiation in Paris. For many developing countries, capacity constraints create barriers to reporting progress on such commitments, hence the need for support to capacity building related to transparency.

The objective of the workshop is to understand country capacity to prepare for implementation and monitoring of National Determined Contributions (NDC) under the Paris Agreement by identifying core technical and institutional capacity gaps and needs for national inventory and monitoring systems for adaptation and mitigation actions in the agriculture and land-use sectors.

A regional roadmap for capacity building for NDC preparation, implementation monitoring and reporting in the agriculture, forestry and other land use sectors for Asia and the Pacific will be prepared as a core output of the workshop.
